Welcome to the AIS family.

Rahme Ibrahim

My name is Rahme Ibrahim.

I aim to utilize my dedication to children’s educational needs and development to encourage creativity and higher-order thinking in a way that increases student performance.

Marique van Heerden

I am originally from South Africa, a melting pot of different cultures and diverse backgrounds. Growing up in this multi-cultural country and teaching in various countries such as Russia, Japan, Czech Republic and the Netherlands, it is important to me to celebrate my students’ individuality in a safe and supporting environment.

I obtained my Finance degree, PGCE and BA (Hons) degree in Psychology from universities in South Africa. In the future, I hope to further my education in child psychology. I have also been teaching for seven years in an IB and British curriculum environment and I especially love teaching upper primary years.

In my class, building strong relationships with each other and ensuring that we all have a say in our learning are key ingredients to a successful year.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy horse riding, photography and traveling to different countries.
