"Speak to your children as if they are the wisest, kindest, most beautiful and magical humans on the Earth, for what they believe they will become." Brook Hampton

Dafina Kabashi

My name is Dafina Kabashi. I am from Prishtina, the bustling capital city of Kosovo. I have been living in the Netherlands since 2022. I graduated from the University of Prishtina in Primary Education. I have previously worked for an IB school and the International School of Prishtina, which have been instrumental for me to learn from different educational cultures.

I aim to utilize my dedication to children’s educational needs and development to encourage creativity and higher-order thinking in a way that increases student performance.

In my spare time I enjoy running, travelling, doing watersports and meeting friends. Teaching is my passion and it is a true privilege to exercise this for and on behalf of the AIS community.

Ivy Yu

I am a teaching assistant for Group 2B. This is my twelfth year of being an educator.

I am originally the Philippines, and I have worked in international schools in Asia and the Netherlands. I came to the Netherlands nine years ago to do a master’s in Child Development and Education because I am passionate about the Early Years.

I advocate for student voice, and I believe that young minds are far more capable of higher-order thinking when given agency of their learning.

In my free time, I like to read fiction, enjoy food, and travel.
