My belief is that teaching is a process of learning involving the whole school community. My teaching journey started in South Africa where I obtained a degree in Education through The University of South Africa and majored in English and Psychology. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, bike riding, painting, and singing. After working at various schools, starting a family with my dear husband, I decided to build a Pre-School.
“The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery“. – Mark van Doren
My emphasis in teaching is to provide an environment or platform for young people to grow and understand that they are capable of more than they believe, building self-awareness. Young children are capable of so much, it is my job to guide and nurture that capability.
Dafina Kabashi
My name is Dafina Kabashi. I am from Prishtina, the bustling capital city of Kosovo. I have been living in the Netherlands since 2022. I graduated from the University of Prishtina in Primary Education. I have previously worked for an IB school and the International School of Prishtina, which have been instrumental for me to learn from different educational cultures.
I aim to utilize my dedication to children’s educational needs and development to encourage creativity and higher-order thinking in a way that increases student performance.
In my spare time I enjoy running, travelling, doing watersports and meeting friends. Teaching is my passion and it is a true privilege to exercise this for and on behalf of the AIS community.
